Newbold Verdon is situated to the west of Leicester (Approx.10 miles)in the Borough of Hinckley & Bosworth. The population is around 4000 with the electorate being 2500. Originally an agricultural village, it became a mining community in the late '50's and early '60's. However the population is more diverse.
